I agree just what to add, TAKE A GUN SAFETY COURSE! It all seems common sense when you learn it, but even small mistakes can be deadly so I think it is better to get a proper lesson. Whatever range is close to you likely offers them or can direct you to someone who can. Everyone in a home with a gun should know how it works, how to use and clean it safely, etc. If you have kids that are too young to take the course with you (and too young to shoot) you should still show them the gun, teach them it is not a toy and make sure they know not to touch it if they ever find it. Whether you are pro or anti gun the fact of the matter in the US is they are everywhere and you are doing yourself a disservice not to learn proper practices if for no other reason than to be able to recognize when someone else is being unsafe with them so you know to get out of that situation.

They are not banning Americans from coming, only requiring them to get visas. This will make it so you have to apply ahead of time and the government will decide if you can enter, just like when people want to travel from Africa to US.

That officer was “fired” for similar abuses from a different department in 2013. Eventually being reinstated AND given back pay before then moving to Fort Worth and doing it again. He received no punishment and it is very likely this case will resolve in a similar fashion. The police union is currently defending him, this will end up in arbitration just like when he was fired in Irving.

This is very misleading. All she said is that she would sign the border bill that had been negotiated and had broad bipartisan support before Trump had the Senate kill it to try to help his campaign. That bill extends the timeline for spending the 600 million already appropriated for the wall under the trump administration. This is a far cry from Trump’s 18 billion wall spanning the entire border. I don’t support this bill but I think it is dishonest to claim she has changed her position, merely accepting what was negotiated in Congress and her liking other provisions in it.

This assumes the government will be providing everything with no contribution from the individual. Lack of housing is probably the largest impediment to employment, no address or id for job apps, nowhere to shower and be clean, have clean clothes, etc. Addiction is another issue but safe stable housing would be a major help in getting clean as well. So some number of these people will be able to get back on track and start contributing to themselves and society at large.

If they are paying into it they should be able to claim it. It is capped at a pretty low amount anyway. If we say they can’t claim it they will be able to say they shouldn’t pay into it.
