The current trend of games starting not with a main menu where I can dial in some settings like audio before it starts, and instead launch directly into a prologue or the game itself is infuriating
Like cool you made a super interesting in media res opener to your game, all action packed and shit. Too bad I’ll spend half of it in the menu
My favorite is always Calradia Imperial Age, which keeps the vanilla map but makes the setting into a Napoleonic era game. Better than Fire And Sword (though I like that DLC too), without being as over the top large as L’aigle (same idea but the full European map instead of just Calradia)
Floris is a must for vanilla+ style
I really should try this with the Soulsborne games. I really enjoy their atmosphere and settings but I’ve got slow reaction times thanks to disabilities, and the newer games get to absolutely manic levels of hyperaggressive speed
Fucking incredible game
Would love a late sequel to it that leans more into the first half of the game over the RTS, I feel like we haven’t seen many good old school action platformers lately, and a game based on sick ass metal album covers would be perfect for it
But even then the original is great

I used to absolutely be one of those prick 
types who would say “I listen to everything but rap and country”, make fun of those two genres etc, now country is one of my favourite genres and I’ve found my niche for rap as well
by the end of the game’s lifespan I was one of the very few Mesmer primary players, and the only one in my guild. But with drip that good I couldn’t not play it as primary class
All total war games since shogun 2 are bad.
3K isn’t fantastic but damned if I don’t absolutely love it. A good mix of historical themes and over the top gameplay in Romance mode, and the unique diplomacy system only for 3K absolutely rules
It took me being physically unable to play Destiny 2 for several months due to hip surgery to break the FOMO that game instilled in me. I thought I was stronger but damn do they know how to prey on the neurodivergent
The game is incredible the first time. I want to replay it, but the thought of needing to play over a dozen hours of slow railroaded cutscenes/shooting galleries during the mountain prologue, and then the exceptionally long Guarma chapter, just throws me off ever wanting to replay it fully
I’m in the same boat, GW1 was my favourite as a kid, I put truly staggering hours into it and ruined my development probably
But GW2 just has zero charm. The Mesmer was my jam in GW1, with its broad build variety from high DPS to caster shutdown, whereas GW2 has them as a clunky melee/ranged hybrid
Except the Highway of Death in Iraq, that was RuZZia obviously

I kinda dig em but I know they’re not for everyone. I mostly like em for the vibes, Vedder is incomprehensible (even as a fan I understand him maybe half the time) but the noise hits the right spots for my autism
I’d probably recommend songs where Vedder is a bit clearer: Sirens, Elderly Woman Behind The Counter, Hard Sun (Vedder solo stuff from Into The Wild), Daughter, or Dissident. But honestly some bands just don’t click
I’m the same with Led Zeppelin. I respect the musicianship they have, and while on paper I should love them (and I love Greta Van Fleet who’re basically a Zeppelin cover band) but there’s something about Zeppelin that doesn’t click for me

3K is so fucking good and I cannot understand why they abandoned it and all the mechanics from it. The diplomacy system should be standard across all the games going forward but they just reverted it back after that game, it’s wild
