  • I wanted it for the whole world, but just me, being allowed to say whatever I want no matter who it offends anywhere I go, that’s something.

SHIT BALLS! Tiananmen square massacre! The WEF is full of evil narcissistic sociopaths!

See? free speech allows you to freely criticize things…especially government powers and corporate powers. Free speech laws exist specifically so you can say things that are going to rock the boat and upset people.

  • Things that are in every threat model include, but are not limited to.

Surveillance from your internet provider and advertising companies its partnered with.

Surveillance from advertising companies partnered with websites you go to and online services you use.

People online who might try to doxx you if you say something they don’t like or win too much in a game

The owner of a malicious website getting your IP address from visiting it by accident.

If your internet provider or anyone else gives you the third degree about using a VPN or any other privacy-friendly alternatives to anything, just say all but the first one

oh and be mindful of internet providers using AI to find patterns in the packets you’re sending and receiving

  • I don’t know if they even have something that advanced whichever one sees it first just signals to the others “HEY! BIG FOOD! BRING IT TO NEST!” with urgency and then the others repeat the signal until all the gatherers start getting it then they all signal to go back to the nest with it.

Fortunately, human beings have individuality and independent thought. Embrace that, use your brain to think critically about everything you see and hear. The billionaires think of us like we’re ants, cogs in a machine, brainless drones that believe everything we’re told. Don’t be the way they want us to be

On top of all that, it’s based on Chromium, which means that Google is in control of their upstream source code.

you can turn off the google stuff

Sending DNS requests to the local ISP when in TOR mode effectively removing protection against spying

there’s other ways of using TOR, and I don’t even think they do that anymore, they fixed the problem after the criticism came out

Installing an extra VPN service on Windows machines without user consent

Been using Brave for over 6 years now, that never happened on any of my machines

Replacing ads on websites with their own, and collecting that revenue

they don’t do that anymore, and honestly, I’d rather have it that way than allow google or facebook or any other website to have more money, but adblocking needs to be multi-layered anyway.
