Haven’t had a need to open one the entire time I’ve been on the OS! Other than for my own development needs, but that’s my own use case and nothing to do with operating the OS as a user.

Having switched many relatives to Linux recently too, Mint will be your best jumping off point for a familiar feel and pain free experience as someone new to Linux. If you love that and find yourself wanting more, then the world is your oyster! I started on Mint and ultimately settled on Fedora Plasma after trying out a half dozen different options.
Kids will be out there studying for their ham radio licenses to setup wireless long range packet networks and bbs’s just to exchange porn lol
Gonna end up with a country-wide rogue WiFi mesh network setup that’s fed from neighboring countries haha
Yeah that’s a good point in a sense. Mechanically I think they’re a lot less repairable (or at least a lot less at home repairable), but from the angle of needing repairs, they also need less repairs because most of what tends to fail on ICE vehicles is all the mechanical stuff attached to the engine. Even on my hybrid I repair a ton less and my mechanic said that because all the accessories are electronic since they can’t be belt/chain driven because the engine is off half the time that they’re ultimately more reliable in the end - it’s the mechanical aspects of them that fail on ICE vehicles.
The diversification that world markets are going through right now is wonderful tbh. Even at such a small level, we’re getting so much great stuff at the grocery store to replace all the American brands my country has all but rejected now. Love seeing it at the enterprise level too, we might see a lot of other countries start having growing tech industries in their regions now.
I have so many questions about this too… Commenting to come back later for the answer.
Man, what sort of sweatshop industry is this so I can avoid it?
Just cancelled my 365 the other day too. Been on Linux for half a year now and forgot I had it until the news of the copilot price increase came out and reminded me. I was happy I could cancel and be refunded the remainder of the term and get some money back in my pocket!
Maybe a slider so we can adjust how much “masculine energy” shows up in our feeds?
This is the better path forward… That everyone just gets so sick of it that they drop it - I’ve actually seen a lot of that among my own friends over the last week (and we aren’t from America even). But the right wingers will never drop it because it’s their community and echo chamber, and that’s where the further dangers to democracy come into play when they’re all in the sandbox together without parents…
I had just signed up a few nights ago to try it out before subscribing, it’s an easy cancel at this point and is being done momentarily.
I long for rock solid VR support in Linux like the rest of my gaming in Steam. I dual boot windows for the sole purpose of VR experience right now :(
Exactly this. Wasn’t Netflix going to sink after everyone cancelled when password sharing was banned? But everyone I know just ended up buying extra logins…
We have a 15 year old Yaris that I’m pretty sure my 1 year old will learn to drive on in another 15 years 😂 I remember the feeling selling my first car too, it was a weird attachment after being the first “big purchase” I had ever made in my life. That car will have a lot of years left in it if you keep it maintained (although I’m not sure how the TUV you mention in your country works - I don’t think my country has anything comparable). The feeling of having no car payments is bliss - when our cars get paid off we just keep transferring the same payment amount into a savings account to help pay for a new car when the time comes.
Francisco Partners ran my previous employer into the ground with a lot of shady shit too. Not surprised to hear their name involved with this.
And also highly unlikely in the way described lol
Pay by the weight to flush
I feel like the only people left on X are the people who don’t think their hate speech is hate speech…
Anything of this nature announced over the next little while has like a 70% chance of being related to the huge Salesloft/Drift hack. The wording here makes me wonder if it’s also the cause for plex.
