On a digital purge for a bit, so only solo tabletop games and rpg journaling!

Picked up a new oracle (mythic gme) and two different core systems I’ll mix (2d6 dungeon and perilous wilds), it’ll be my first time playing a system that isn’t as ‘on the rails’ so to speak as Ironsworn.

But in the meantime I’m finishing up a dungeon dive in Iron Helm, then I’ll take those notes and turn that into a short story hopefully early this week and then next weekend I can dive into Perilous Wilds and 2d6 Dungeon

The GBA Dragonball RPG’s are solid

There’s a whole economy of paid mods as well. You could dump house downpayment money on Sims easily

Gonna go a little left field if that’s allowed, I’ve been dipping my toes into solo boardgames and I’ve thoroughly been enjoying Doom Machine. It’s a super neat game that fits in a mint tin, consists of some dice and cards, sets up in minutes and plays in 15-30 minutes.

Video game wise, playing through Golden Sun at the moment. Nothing to add there that hasn’t already been said 10x as eloquently. Amazing game

Full support, crack these games wide open. I maintain that their strength is atmosphere, art style, music, etc and that the gameplay is just a barrier to experiencing that. More-so if that’s not your ideal gameplay type

Fox Engine is incredible and it’s a shame only a couple games were made with it.

It’s such an interesting design. Brand new they have really good precision, especially closer to the neutral position which is something even modern joysticks struggle with. But the design basically eating itself alive is a death note for those controllers.

If you ever get a chance, some folks used to make steel bowls to replace the plastic ones and prevent the grinding issue and those controllers are just

Not only is Feraligatr a mashup, they didn’t have enough characters to use for names and had to drop the ‘o’ from the name. IIIRC early concept art called it Feraligator

I have mint and bindweed competing in one of our neglected garden boxes, both are contained thankfully but I absolutely haven’t been able to get rid of either of them.

For what it’s worth, the stick’s are really easily replaceable. Maybe 15 minutes for the whole procedure and that’s just time spent unscrewing it.

I was surprised how expensive those replacements were though
