Absolutely a fair point and I thank you for mentioning it. I hope through our continued evolution, we learn to stop polluting our surroundings.

This is both cool and scary.
A few years ago, I was walking my dog at night just after sunset and looked up as I normally do to star gaze. My eyes caught a glimpse of a fast moving dot moving across the sky. I was getting the ISS reminders at the time and had none for the day, so I opened up Sky Guide and used the gyro feature to identify it. The dot happened to be an old Soviet rocket from the 1950s.
This opened up a different way of thinking about how much we’re tossing into the sky, and if objects are still floating by some 70 years later, what will our sky look like in another 70 with the accelerated launches we have today.
The advancements we’ve made as a human race is amazing, but quite scary at the same time.
I’ve had the Eros E3.5s for a few years and they’ve not let me down on quality, especially at the price point.
I also considered those Mackie’s.
I just found their replacement in store. Check out my other comment below.
They’re (kinda) back!! I haven’t tried them yet, but I will.
Absolutely! I did this with Ridge Racer on the PS1. I tossed in Nirvana’s Bleach album, and Love Buzz lined up near perfect with one of the game’s track numbers.
I used to on my PS1 and Saturn. Actually, the first CD I ever purchased was Nirvana’s Nevermind, and the first CD player I had to play that on was the Sega CD.
I hope for the best! Sounds so sad, but you being strong may give him a chance.
I have a little guy I adopted. He checked out of the shelter fine, but as soon as we got him home, he wouldn’t eat. We tried different things and tried what the vet advised us to do. Three days and he ate nothing. Became fairly lethargic and barely responsive.
We started force feeding wet/pate cat food and baby food through a syringe. He fought slightly, but ate it and kept it down. Then one day I just happen to be working with some shredded chicken in the kitchen and he came over and meowed at me. I gave him a little and he actively ate it himself. I gave more and more and he ate all that too. I went to the store and grabbed a couple cans of wet shredded chicken cat food, brought it home and served it to him. He ate it up.
It was such a relief to see. That was a year and 5 months ago and he’s doing amazing. He still meows at me when I’m in the kitchen at lunchtime because he wants a little bowl of his chicken shreds, as that time of day is when I usually made it up for him when he was a kitten.
I run GrapheneOS.
I told myself that my Pixel 8 pro will be enough for a bunch of years. That is, until I went on a trip with it. Now I feel like my Pixel 7 was better than the P8P is, with just as good of a camera with better battery life.
I’m glad I kept the p7 as a burner, because I may just make it my prime phone. I only upgraded on the prospect of a long lasting phone and received the p7 for free…
A few years ago, Morningstar used to have a vegetarian rib patty. Once I realized its potential as a vegetarian McRib, I bought a pack. It was delicious. I bought another pack.
And then it was gone from shelves in every store that had it.
I know that they probably named it Goose because he was a RIO and assisted the pilot, but the fact that Goose dies and this is a Google product is actually more fitting.
I believe what they’re getting at is an issue if they’re not already authenticated prior to the outage. Then they’d have no access to their media unless they look into the workaround for that beforehand. It has been an issue in the past, especially when Plex’s auth servers go down. I remember plenty of Reddit threads complaining about it.
I was in a very similar position as you. Thirteen year user, moderator for a few smaller subreddits, including one that provided support for a US-based mobile phone carrier, and deleted everything when the API change happened.
It took time and effort to coordinate and help uplift those who generated the great content for those subreddits, but Reddit, Inc., was unwilling to help us moderators who had developed and used the tools necessary to do it. I wasn’t willing to put in the additional time since Reddit was themselves unwilling to, post API change.
In response to such critiques, Reddit spokesperson Rathschmidt said he did not “know of an industry benchmark for scoring content quality”.
(Emphasis mine)
This is the same tone deaf response I’ve come to expect from Reddit for some time now, and is why I’m happy to no longer be a user of their platform.
Agreed. It didn’t feel respectful when they started replacing mod teams that refused to reopen.
I have no grounds to question anything that you said, but all I can imagine is this image.
I may not be a smart person, but aerodynamics… in space?
PowerA made a wireless GC controller for Switch. I got one and paired it with my Steamdeck. Works fine.
Also, for the Metroid Prime’s, if you’re not too hung up on playing it the original way, look into Primehack. It’s a modded Dolphin emulator with specific FPS controls for Metroid Prime. There are packages for Linux available. I think the one that worked best for me was the flatpak version.
I never knew there was a difference. Is it just the nacelle placement and the little “hump” just aft of the saucer?
Same as the above, this right here is what I’d recommend: vinegar. I actually have been adding vinegar for years to my workout laundry, and there’s been no stink. I can’t use anything like softener or detergents that aren’t “free” and “clear” due to skin allergies, so my options are pretty limited otherwise.
