GoldenEye let’s you plug in two controllers and play with two analog sticks. Controller mode 2.2 is pretty close to how FPSs on controllers play now.

I’ve spent a little bit of time today trying to doxx this loser. They had been kicked off the Tamriel Rebuilt discord for being a bigot so now they’re trying to “get revenge”. They’ve also been a menace in the fallout modding scene for years. Literally what they’re originally mad about in this instance is that the mod kept getting put on hold because it “didn’t have clear vision” and that the modder used some assets from other mods, that was enough for them to call in the gestapo.

I’m getting me some Golden walnuts in Stardew Valley but I just saw someone on say “spyro the dragon from skylanders” so I might just have a drink and stare into the void for a bit.

If I were playing Stardew again for the first time I’d still play with UI info suite. All of the things it adds are QoL features that should be in the game any way and that a lot of newer farming games have.

As a Yakuza fan, I’d say if you played 30 hours but didn’t beat 0, you definitely gave it a shot but you didn’t “play the yakuza series.” It’s like saying you watched the first couple episodes of the Sopranos and weren’t into it.

As someone who’s beaten Majora’s Mask a dozen times on n64 and emulator, I played all of the way through MM3d and thoroughly enjoyed myself before learning people didn’t like it.

Super Mario 64 DS - I really love this iteration of Super Mario 64 and really wish Nintendo would rerelease it or give it a facelift. 30 extra stars. Four playable characters. Minimap on the bottom screen. Only, and I mean ONLY, downside is d-pad movement.

I haven’t tried it, but there is a mod out there that fixes this.

I’ve been playing DQ7 for 3ds every free second I’ve had for the past week.

They’re some of my favorite games, but there’s no reason to force yourself to play them. I like that the combat is still the classic simple JRPG format. It’s satisfying to just run around and check every drawer, closet, and cupboard in a new town. They’re structured so you can play for like 30 minutes a day and always feel like you made some progress.

Mario may have laid the ground work but the genre didn’t really solidify until the release of Castlevania 64 added 3 crucial elements:

• Not knowing where to go because every environment in the game looks the same
• Bullshit fights where you just spam the same attack and dodge
• Spooky

Because of this I prefer to call the genre mariovanias
