But is way more extended than windows: smart tvs, smart speakers, smart sensors, smart potatoes, car infotainment, datacenters, handheld devices… Any person owns way more linux devices than windows and mac combined. Windows is just a toy for gamers and outdated office workers. MS knows that.

I work IT and I would say: Don’t worry too much about AI. Lot of hype from boomers but is mostly bullshit.

I have the impression, by looking at the quality and features of public services, that IT of public sector is understaffed and fragmented.

They end up outsourcing. And now they are surprised that IT poor budgets has consequences?

The problem is that big organizations requires big support firms behind. The biggest players has that. There are few organizations that can support OS but they do not talk very well the same language as high leaders. The problem comes from both sides: dumb leaders (not only in EU, sorry people…) vs highly developed lobbies.
