Exactly that! I want to run a single-user instance, and Mastodon is quite heavy for that, especially when I’ll be running it off a cheap VPS.

You’re absolutely right - not sure what I was thinking about when I wrote that!
While technically true, I think calling Mastodon the smallest amongst them is a little indigenous. After all, wasn’t the idea of ActivityPub “protocols, not platforms”?
For me personally, Mastodon opened me to the world of federated social media, and I’m now hosting my own AP-based single-user social media page running GoToSocial. My usage won’t add to Mastodon’s MAU’s count, but 90% of my interactions are with Mastodon users, and I think that’s the beauty of the system.
They are also apparently requiring a €1,000,000 letter of credit for alternative app stores devs.
The update will also open up NFC access to alternative payment apps.
Apple does make it very clear that they’re being forced to do so by law, though, so don’t expect these changes to come out of the EU anytime soon.
I use GoToSocial, which is a mastodon-like fediverse software that’s perfect for single-user instances. You can set your profile as the landing page at the root URL, and it also supports customisable CSS for your page too.
You can check out a sample profile (GtS’ official account) here.
Great combo! I run with my 35mm f1.4 most of the time, but sometimes wish I have a 23mm with me too for the times where 35mm (on an apsc) is just too tight.
This is from a couple of hours before even FP3!

As my original comment said, it was not wrong to pin that thread and the Twitter link. I was just pointing out the hypocrisy.
But if you insist a solution, there are multiple ways to sidestep Twitter, including but not limited to posting a screenshot, then appending the Nitter link (or heck, even Twitter) in the post body, which means users have the ability to first view the content, then make their own decisions whether to interact with the link or not.
Just my 2 cents.
I’ve been keeping track of this tracker and since July 1, peak comments/post per minute have definitely gone down. Although as the site mentions, you really shouldn’t draw any firm conclusions from that. Just interesting to see.
I’ve been playing a lot of Balatro, and also Chants of Senaar on the side.
Thinking of finally picking up HiFi Rush now that it’s finally on the PS5, which is pretty much the only system I get to game on these days.
