Right. You’re just trying to look good in front of your peers.
Right. You’re just trying to look good in front of your peers.
I’ll blame both.
I’m going to ignore you now because you’re just going to keep pretending not to understand what’s being said because you don’t like what’s being said.
I see it all the time whenever someone’s consumerism is threatened. Peace.
Donald Trump is a symptom of much greater problems.
I honestly thought your comment was going to blame corporations instead of orange man, but I guess that wouldn’t be very neo-liberal of you.
Why even bother?
They should just be contributing to a free software distribution if we want it to benefit us.
Holding people accountable for their contributions to the problem.
Encouraging them to make better decisions to mitigate, and eventually reverse the damage that has been done.
Attacking the labour I see and not the system they have to get by in.
Yeah. Working for microsoft was the only option. Greed and consumerism had nothing to do with it. They had no choice and it wasn’t about making the most amount of money to live the most luxurious lifestyle while children starve.
but I ain’t out here shitting in those who do.
We’re different people.
Cultural problems require cultural solutions.
They dunked on themselves when they applied to work for one of the scummiest corporations in history.
Yeah, no. Working for the enemy doesn’t get a free pass because of ‘labor.’
Are you ok?
Anyone who works for microsoft deserves much worse than getting laid off.
Streaming: Remember when we only had Netflix and it had a full extensive catalog, no ads and was much more affordable?
Yes, but even then I never subscribed to netflix because free streaming sites had more content for free. They still do. You really have no idea how disconnected you are from people who legitimately need more money and scrutinize everything they spend it on. It’s called privilege.
Delivery: Sure, no one needs to order takeout, but even cooking at home is getting expensive
Wait… what? You’re saying it’s getting expensive to cook at home, so the solution is to spend more money on delivery? Is this satire?
If you’re trying to save money you basically have to buy stuff loaded with sugar and fat or use shit ingredients
What the fuck? Are you seriously suggesting that it’s better to get doordash because eating at home is “too expensive and unhealthy”?
Living: let’s not pretend there’s not a housing crisis going on for a while
That’s because people have been conditioned to rent instead of own. Most of the people complaining about housing are living above their means and think they deserve more before people who have less. For example, I guarantee most of the people on these forums complains about not having enough money while spending $1,000+/month on rent in a major city.
They could live more modest lives in more rural areas, but “that’s not good enough for them.” Saying “there are no jobs” is a load of bullshit and I guarantee none of them are talking from experience.
(Also, just saying, that whole “fuck you” attitude of yours doesn’t really help with anything.)
I’m holding people accountable for their contributions to the problem. They want to consume guilt-free and get mad at anyone who calls it out.
I don’t expect them to change no matter what. It would take an act of god to beat the consumerism out of this generation.
Man, the mental gymnastics you people go through just to argue with others on the internet is insane.
Probably because you’re being willfully ignorant to avoid acknowledging how you and your peers are part of the problem.
I know what I’ll put my money on.
Because you people don’t actually care about helping others, just shilling what you personally like.
What question was asked?
I didn’t ask anything.
To you everything is a scam.
Not true. Useful idiots usually think it’s an ‘all-or-nothing’ game to avoid thinking about how they’re being taken for a ride.
Is this the case everywhere?
I’ll blame both.
The users are willfully ignorant.
What question?
If you say so.
Trying to look good in front of your peers doesn’t mean pretending you’re perfect.
