My removedober game this year is Dying Light 2. The first Dying Light is one of my favourite games. This sequel is not hitting as hard as the first game so far but it’s still okay. Smashing zombies with a baseball bat will always be fun.

If you like FTL, you’re gonna love Cobalt Core. It’s a 10/10 game

Yesterday I started playing Songs of Conquest, it came out of early access this year. It’s a spiritual successor to Heroes of Might and Magic III. I’ve played for around 3 hours and so far I’m enjoying it. As a fan of HOMM3, it hasn’t disappointed me. The tactics gameplay is fun and engaging.

Before that, I started playing the Multiverse mod for FTL - Faster Than Light. The writing is not great but overall I like it since it adds a lot of new content. I like that one of the bad guys factions is explicitly fascist so I can bash the space fash.

My favourite genres are action RPG (Skyrim, Gothic, The Witcher, New Vegas), turn based tactical games (Divinity Original Sin, XCOM) and roguelikes (Cobalt Core, Hades, Slay the Spire, Monster Train). I play other genres as well but those are my favourite. I assume your favourite genre is horror?

I actually played Tails of Iron this year and finished it. It’s a great game, I’m looking forward to the sequel. Glory to the Moleshevik Republic!

If you like FTL, I recommend Cobalt Core. It’s a 10/10 game, worth buying even at full price.

Last week I played the single player campaign in Warcraft III Reforged. It’s still a great game. I played it a long time ago and have nostalgia for it. Feels good to revisit something that you played as a kid

My most played game this year was Fallout New Vegas (currently going for 2,49€ on Steam). I installed some mods that made the combat realistic and deadly, which was amazing. It was my favourite playthrough yet. I am pretty sure that this is my pick for The Greatest Video Game of All Time.

This year I bought my first gaming PC ever. Up until now I needed to have a laptop for college and work so I was unable to run most of the modern AAA games. The first game I played on it was Jedi Fallen Order (2019). It was really good and I had a great time playing it.

My favourite game that came out this year was Cobalt Core. It’s a combination of Slay The Spire and FTL: Faster Than Light. I definitely recommend it to anyone who liked those two games. It has beautiful pixel graphics, great soundtrack, charming characters and very fun gameplay. It’s a 10/10 banger in my opinion
