Lemmy@lemmy.ml•[Suggestion] Duplicate URLs should be grouped together into singular posts on the front pageEnglish
1·21 hours agoYes but apparently its not working for some reason. My first guess is that these posts have identical looking images, but they are actually loaded from different urls.

1·21 hours agoI cant find these duplicate posts, can you share the URLs that you were viewing? Is it possible that these identical images actually have different URLs?
You can subscribe to Peertube channels from Lemmy since a very long time. Recently there has been a problem with federation on the Peertube side, but that will be fixed soon.

2·8 days agoIf any Activitypub platform sends messages to an actor which they arent addressed to, thats clearly a bug.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•do you think lemmy will ever have millions of users and niche topics or subs like reddit?
2·8 days agoThing is that we dont have any information about someone who visits joinlemmy, other than the IP address which gives the location, and Accept-Language HTTP headers. So it attempts to give useful suggestions with that limited info.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•does lemmy have a chat and dms like reddit?English
11·9 days agoThis is not correct, Lemmy sends private messages only to the single recipient server. Other instances cannot access it at all.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•does lemmy have a chat and dms like reddit?English
51·9 days agoNot public. Private messages can only be accessed by your own admin, and the admin of the recipient. Other instances cannot access it in any way.
Sorry forgot about that, you can view it now.

2·12 days agoIm not a designer, so for me its very difficult to make such changes. I prefer making a small adjustment rather than messing the whole thing up.
Got it, was a problem in pictrs. Upgraded to the latest version and it seems fully fixed now.

2·15 days agoThanks for your feedback! I made the theme colors a bit darker, what do you think? https://github.com/LemmyNet/joinlemmy-site/pull/597
Now that you mention it, I also notice the problem with scroll performance, hard to say what might cause it.
This tool is not necessary anymore as the functionality is builtin directly to Lemmy.

This is a known bug in lemmy-ui. Looks like the fix was not backported to stable yet.
https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/pull/3459
Edit: Fixed in #3968, will be included in the next 0.19 release.
