Is Lemmy gaining or losing active users over time?

I’m new here, so I’d like to know if this project is growing steadily or not really catching on. It has a lot of potentioal imho, but I understand how hard it is to make people use “alternative” websites…

So I’ve seen spam posts make it close to the top of the federated TL recently. It got me to look into the modlog and it seems that the vast majority of removed posts are straight up advertising spam, usually multiple per day. …

We used to talk using NNTP and mailing list, but they are closed a few years ago. So we migrated to Lemmy. Our members are aging. Our eyesight is not good anymore. A lot of us are struggle with the captcha using by Lemmy…



Following Users

On snoosite users are also communities where the user can exclusively post. I think this is pretty awesome feature and would seemingly make mastodon federation make more sense.
