Obviously it is concerning. We have just been given a window of a glimpse as to what would happen if one service in which so many things rely on, gets messed up. Like today I was having trouble logging into my bank because guess what, they rely on CloudFlare.

I’ve read individuals relying on services provided by CloudFlare, their processes were interrupted.

I know that CloudFlare has a purpose and its purpose is being served, but there’s a reason why people love and should embrace the idea of multiple alternatives and hate monopolies.

It would be like, if Comcast as an ISP has a blackout, do you know how many subscribers they have? Some people in certain areas are all that they have so the blackout would knock them offline for however long. That’s why alternatives are important.

Until afternoon or evening.

I don’t get the appeal, really. It’s just a lego-looking ripoff where the arms are fucking huge and everything. The things that get chosen to be popular, says a lot about people’s collective tastes sometimes.

I’m sure development studios and individuals have a sense of pride and accomplishment in receiving any award for their work. But, even then, there’s going to be volumes of people who’re going to always feel like their favorites were snuffed for reasons not known to us and it just makes more arguments than actual discussions.

You mean, argue about them? Because I don’t see a lot of good conversations regarding some video games unless it is a hivemind or a circlejerk. It must be on some universally agreed upon ruling before engaging some video game discussions, if not, then bickering or pelting virtual stones at the different thinker with opinions that goes against said hivemind.

I wouldn’t be complaining about this, except I am because Roblox is operated by pedos.

Something extreme measures such as face recognition has to be taken to ensure problems like this won’t happen again. However, though, pedophiles having access to data storage containing such verifications can go so wrong on so many levels.

So heres what they should do:

Fire and prosecute all of the pedos. Replace the pedos with trustworthy people to operate Roblox. Then go through verifying.

Oh yeah after it’s been verified that Roblox is operated by a few pedos? Yeah this will go over wonderfully…

Which are easy to spot and I get that.

But not everyone is like that and it is quite dumb to assume everyone is like that like I have seen others do. Someone some other person doesn’t like, then they just say “oh that’s a bot, um, ban them because their account is new.”

You saw this shit all the time on Reddit. I mean the behavior can be noticeable from a user who just joined and wants to contribute and talk to those just coming back to repeat everything that got them removed in the first place.

4K is just another dumb marketing jargon to make people think something is better than what we currently have.

I always bring up the argument of transitioning from VHS to DVD, there were vast improvements there in terms of quality. DVD is still around, why? Because it just does good enough and that’s what all anyone can ask for. Blu-Ray is incredibly old now and eventually will take DVD’s spot someday as the ‘good enough’ standard because really streaming is dependent on internet connection speed which can vary the quality which exits itself out of the argument.

And with every gaming generation that comes and goes, it has become harder and harder to notice any groundbreaking differences. It began to get harder when we went from PS3 - PS4 for example. It is now all about just resolutions and nothing else.

It has to be $400 or $500. If they, Valve, really think they’re sitting on a $800 or even a $1,000 machine then they’re lying to themselves.

So the engineer state that it can run ‘all games of the market’. Okay, cool, but at what kind of settings?

Like, it undermines the expectations of what one has when it comes to approaching the idea of having a PC to run games they want to see run flawlessly. I have been there before where I was not satisfied running games at Medium, hell, I wasn’t satisfied when I ran some games at even High. My targeted goal of building a machine, is if it can run at least 90% of games that I throw at it, with optimum performance. Suffice to say, I think I’ve achieved that.

If someone gets a Steam Machine and find that it cannot run that particular game someone buys the Steam Machine for at their preference, you’re going to see refunds flying around.

The Steam Machine development should’ve never went in with the concept of “just run games”, they should’ve went in with the concept of “run games and run them well”.

College only seems that way for those with indecisive minds that have no clear planning of their future.

Why are we still caring about these stupid game award shows when it’s clear that they’re just padded with commercialism and favoritism?

I hate these awards and I hate the ones Valve hosts on their Steam platform. They are all just utterly meaningless. Just nothing but ways to get ‘gamurrrs’ to stir up pointless arguments about subjective things for clout.

Wouldn’t put it past them to try.

The recording industry loves making money off of artists who are long dead. Reminds me of that opening to Ministry’s Ghouldiggers, where the singer is talking about how some artists are being sold off in pieces. Kurt Cobain. Janis Joplin. So many more.
