I love how Americans can always see themselves as a victim.

Yes you have handcuffs around every wrist you’ve had access to in the past century, but in this day and age even your handcuffs are outsourced.

Honestly America doesnt actually produce anything but IP laws these days.

And ya know other countries might not share your lack of education and realise its 1000% cheaper to simply just bypass the bully in the room.

    Lol. Lmao even.

Your country has been a joke for at least the past decade, only thing america is doing these days is ensuring others independence from it (honestly the sole source of the countries value so we’ll see how that goes long term).

But have fun with your facists!

Youre right it should be everyone else’s problem but poor, suffering america

Lol except that were talking images here, not domain specific matrices or something.

The complexity it’d take to optimise an engine for a SPECIFIC image size would be orders of magnitude harder than using any preexisting tools that support all images.

Its like rationalising why you can’t go in an area of a map cause the devs didnt test every single possible renderable frame in that area - sure its possible, but you’d be laughed out of every meeting for even suggesting it.

Also gotta ask, do you think updates have to redownload every single file of the game? Else why would they redeploy static images every update? (Because arguably the most common optimisations on the web exist for this exact situation, not having to resend large media files)

  • If you’d prefer native to using an unpopular tool thats archived since 2023, try this site.

All you have to do is click on the revision you want to install, and it provides instructions to install it (having the benefit of being actually using the native package manager instead of just storing some binaries somewhere exclusive to the app)

Surprised there was a non-nix way to achieve this honestly, even if it is a bit hackey
