China’s purchases of US liquefied natural gas plunged to zero in March after a sharp decline in the previous two months, as the trade war between the two biggest economies alters shipping routes.

The geopolitical conflict is once again decoupling the world’s largest LNG buyer and seller. An escalation in mutual tariffs has led China to impose a 125% tariff on all US goods, turning to Indonesia and Qatar for supplies.

Not really, just new sources of the same. Nothing about this entire mess is good for the environment except the fact that birthrates will drop due to everyone being in miserable financial shape.

Less transporting of LNG over the pacific means less it can escape to the atmosphere.

I have added the * as IDK how in the long term it will play out. Will they close down production or re-route import and export to different markets. The Industry projects oversupply so we will see their moves.
