Have you ever been carried along in the flow of an attack, relentlessly striking at your opponent, but finding that you are missing just one little thing? Maybe you should stop and think about it, and you may find a quiet move in the position. Let's look at some examples: ALWAYS REMEMBER THE QUIET MOVE!

Quiet move are often - erm - quiet. But this case white has no good moves so they resigned. Simply by castling black is threatening Ra8+.

In other news - fuck google. This is the sort of result google should give. Instead I found the link to it in some random comment with zero upvotes and nearly zero context. I clicked the link assuming it would be a waste of time but it turned out to be better than google itself.

    Meta: Thanks for Chessposting on here. Rant: Modern 3D graphics are quite terrible for energy efficiency/environmental reasons, chess offers complexity in the 2D plane and can run on a potato PC.

    In general we should pay more attention to board games (maybe on computers).
