“2 real friends”?
I’ve been at 0 real friends for so long that even the thought of socializing with anyone stresses me out.
I’ve got one that I treat like gold. They’re a childhood friend that is a divorced alcoholic ex-con that went down the
keto->carnivore->jordan-peterson->red-pill->gamer-gatepipeline, so not exactly a quality human. But I like to think I’m doing society a favour by keeping tabs on them.I wish I had a better best friend, but I’m lucky to have even this one.
Honestly as long as your friend raises you up in life and doesn’t drag you down, that’s a good friend.

I think if you wait long enough he will kinda “grow out of it” if it can describe the process correctly. Just once in a while tell him about his wrong doings if he has them

Yeah definitely. I’ve started to see that process already. Kinda reminds me of when I was a more virulent atheist and wanted to debate everyone, and just generally be a nuisance.

Ooof tell me about it that something I’ve done and have had done to me. I used to think friends are something you have, then a mentor explained to me that friends are an investment and we need to invest our time and emotions into them alongside that terrible thing…being vulnerable…I hate good advice

Definitely. I have lost really solid friends over the years, because I don’t put the work in. I’m actually not that great at being a friend to others, which I’m sure isn’t super uncommon.
