This’d be both terrifying and incredibly cool. Just let your body go to work / school / whatever and let your head sleep a little longer. And when you need to think, your body comes back home and picks up the head. Or you put your head in a special bag where it can sleep, kinda like those cat backpacks, and when you need it, you can just take it out.
The artist … *sighs in french*
…clearly critiques many parts of society with his newest work “sleepy_irl” also known under the older name “Don’t be late part1”. While the head remains in the sleeping position the body moves - in the simplest way the artists thus critiques early morning traffic drivers, unable to use their brain.
But this critique extends to society itself. Society in its current stages is very “morning people”-centric despite not being a majority, an issue the artist points out all too clear. In the strokes you can recognize a certain hate against the institutions put up, to enslave other types of people, not interested in figurative “worms”. Having to get up early to school despite the majority of teens needing to sleep way longer, which could improve the educational quality easy, is one such example.
(I hope this reads funny, I tried & took way too long🥦✌️)
You did a great job and spent your time well. I like it when people dissect memes with academic language. It’s always kinda funny, but you’re also completely correct with what you say. This meme wouldn’t exist if society centred around human needs first, and sleep is one of the most fundamental needs.
I pity those who don’t get the reference/inspiration.
