There’s still a tiny difference (to me at least) between dressing nicely (which is very subjective) or taking care of ones health and painting my face to look like something different.
I don’t care what people do though. Just a personal opinion.
it’s when other people are starting to give you that “Do(n’t) they see the way they look/are acting??” face, yet one continues to refuse to confront the personal toll being taken does it begin to stray into madness. no one really knows much about how to take care of ourselves or each other, so without some form of obvious staring-you-in-the-face feedback it is often impossible for most of us to notice when we begin causing damage
