What. Like as in a remake of the original? I never even beat it but with it being deck verified now, I probably will play it again. I wonder if I can import my old characters somehow…
Here is more information.

Apparently its not developed by ArenaNet but a smaller studio of former ArenaNet employees.
And Guild Wars Reforged isn’t about a one-time update; we plan to keep collaborating with our partners at 2weeks to make further improvements to the game in the future!
This sounds promising.
"New low, bundled price: Guild Wars Reforged brings Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall together for just £17.99. If you have purchased even one of the three campaigns, all of them will be unlocked through Guild Wars Reforged. And, of course, there are still no subscription fees. "
What does this mean? I bought guildwars 1 forever ago. Does this mean I don’t have to pay for it?
Funny that GW1 gets steamdeck/controller support before GW2.
I can’t imagine playing GW2 on a controller. I had to buy an MMO mouse to have more buttons to bind stuff to.
I tried it a couple of years ago with the steam controller and the action camera. It works surprisingly well.
GW2 works surprisingly well on controller. I’ve been playing that way since launch, first with Xpadder and now with the Steam controller mappings. Inventory management and crafting are the only regular things I switch back to mouse and keyboard for.
FFXIV works great with a controller, I don’t see why GW2 wouldn’t with a similar gamepad oriented UI.
Been doing it for a while - WvW and Open World it’s been great. I wouldn’t try and do raid rotations on it.
whoa
haven’t thought about this game for awhile
Well, now I know what I will be doing during the better part of my Christmas holidays.
I am admittedly still hoping for a proper Guild Wars 1 remaster or a successor that is more like GW1 in tone and game play. Maybe its nostalgia but the sequels plot and world building never reached the quality of the original game for me.
I was always disappointed that they bound the skillbar to weapon types and removed secondary professions in GW2. The possibilities for character builds were virtually endless in GW1’s system, and you could make your character really feel like your own. I did play GW2 for a while, and it was fun in its own ways, but the original still holds much more nostalgia for me.
Fuck yeah! Drock’s run here we go again!
I played GW1 back when it was new. I remember it being a lot harder than gw2, but I might’ve just been bad at it. Gw2 is very forgiving though.
Huh, didn’t expect that to ever be a thing. I never played the original GW campaign, only Factions and Nightfall, so I guess this will be a good opportunity for me to finally play it.
This could be really good…
Ok, apparently on steamdeck? Maybe I can give it a shot this time
So some UI and audio updates?
Nice, have been wanting to play a bit again for a while now. :D
