Image is from this article, of protestors in Mexico tearing down a steel fence.
While military, economic, and covert pressure on Venezuela and nearby countries in South America proper continues to mount, a similar process is occurring against Mexico, currently under the leadership of the very popular Sheinbaum, who has generally followed the footsteps of AMLO in terms of policies.
While figures in the Trump administration have made statements to the effect of wishing to bomb Mexican territory, internal pressure within Mexico is rather hard to generate when the government is doing generally positive things for people. As such, protests - comically denoted “Gen Z protests” despite young people being a vanishingly small proportion - have arisen in Mexico, very obviously astroturfed by pro-US and anti-Sheinbaum interests. The first protest, on November 15th, gathered less than 20,000 people, while the second, on November 20th, gathered perhaps 200. Article headlines suggesting that Mexico was “on the verge of collapse” have proven rather sensational and wishcast-y.
While it’s easy to poke fun at these farces (I certainly am), it’s important to keep in mind that soft coups have long been part of the American strategy in Latin America, and with unlimited money and many resources to throw at a project, even incompetent forces can eventually create enough chaos that it can make the ruling president or party feel forced to resign. Such eventualities are certainly not inevitable, and even weak states can provide enough resistance to force the US to try a hard coup instead, with outright bombing campaigns and covert military operations. Cuba has provided perhaps the best example in the western hemisphere of how such plots can be subverted with enough national support (e.g. the hundreds of times the CIA tried to kill/maim Castro, plus the Bay of Pigs debacle), but you do have to be willing to take extraordinary measures to do this - the sorts of measures figures like Chile’s Allende did not take in the 1970s, and the measures Venezuela’s Maduro appears to be taking right now. We shall see what path Sheinbaum takes.

According to Honduran electoral law, the CNE has 30 calendar days after the vote to issue the final results.
Article
The presidential candidate for Honduras’ right-wing Liberal Party, Salvador Nasralla, said that, based on the first report of preliminary results from Sunday’s election released by the National Electoral Council (CNE), “at this time there is no official winner.”
“The difference that now appears (with respect to right-wing candidate Nasry Asfura, of the National Party, whom US President Donald Trump called on people to vote for in an open interference in the Honduran electoral process), 23,000 votes, is nothing,” he said at a press conference. “The important thing is that we know that at this moment there is no official winner,” he added, noting that there is still no irreversible trend.
In a message posted on his social media account, Nasralla asked his followers to protect their votes during the vote counting process.
“I am sending this message to our entire national organization: no one leaves their table, no one leaves the polling station until the end. Honduras needs us to protect every vote with courage and responsibility,” wrote the Liberal Party leader.
“May God protect the will of the people, free us from all attempts at fraud, and keep us steadfast until the very end,” he concluded.
This Sunday, Honduran citizens went to the polls to elect a president for the 2026-2030 term, national deputies and deputies to the Central American Parliament, as well as mayors and members of municipal councils.
At around 11 p.m. local time on Sunday, the CNE released its first bulletin with 34.25 percent of the presidential votes counted. The announcement came after complaints from the ruling Libertad y Refundación (Libre) party, led by candidate Rixi Moncada and the country’s president, Xiomara Castro, who warned of an alleged hack of the TREP and anticipated fraud in these preliminary results.
According to that first tally, the preliminary results were distributed as follows: the Christian Democratic Party of Honduras obtained 2,152 votes, the Innovation and Social Democratic Unity Party registered 10,698 votes, the Liberty and Refoundation Party (Libre) obtained 255,972 votes, the Liberal Party of Honduras obtained 506,316 votes, and the National Party of Honduras obtained 530,073 votes.
According to the report at 3:30 a.m. local time (9:30 a.m. GMT) on Monday, 52.93 percent of the ballots had been counted. At this point, Nasry Asfura had 702,359 votes (40.08 percent) and Salvador Nasralla had 695,213 votes (39.66 percent). Rixi Moncada had 19.24 percent of the votes.
In a message posted on social media, Rixi Moncada asked citizens to remain “ready to fight until the final results with 100% of the votes are obtained.”
According to Honduran electoral law, the CNE has 30 calendar days after election day to issue the final results. The body will therefore have until December 30 to officially announce the winners and publish them in the official gazette, La Gaceta.
When he thought he had won he immediatly begun shit talking Cuba and Venezuela and licking the US boot (even after Trump openly supported the narconservative candidate), now that he’s losing to the far-right guy he backtracks all the shit he said.
The gusanos are out in force on social media today
Honduras: CNE announces TREP results amid allegations of manipulation in data transmission
What’s been announced by the CNE in its multiple times delayed first bulletin, nearly six hours after polls closed, are partial, selective ‘results’ of the Preliminary Results Transmission System (TREP), which were expected to produce Nasralla or Asfura as leading, as part of a coordinated plan involving the media.
Libre calls on the country to await 100% of the final scrutiny of the vote.
Candidate Rixi Moncada will hold a press conference tomorrow to report on her position regarding the results published by the CNE
This scenario was anticipated based on leaked audios, denounced by Libre, which indicated that the TREP would be tampered with to generate ‘preliminary’ figures favorable to the two opposition candidates, as part of the right’s attempt to change the course of the election
One day after Trump’s threats, some airlines resume operations in Venezuelan airspace. Could be just a temporary thing, Trump did say he called Maduro idk what they two said since both declined to comment. The Miami Herald said that Maduro offered to hold new elections and to allow some American companies to operate in Venezuela, Trump declined and insisted that Maduro should be removed from power.
Honduras elections:
In late October 2025, audio recordings were released that allegedly featured conversations between members of the opposition—including an electoral council representative, Cossette López, Congressman Tomás Zambrano, and a military officer—discussing plans to “manipulate the popular vote.” Zambrano, a leader of the National Party, dismissed the recordings as “completely false, fabricated… manipulated (with) artificial intelligence.” In response, President Xiomara Castro called for an official investigation, denouncing what she termed an “electoral coup.”
The campaign has also been influenced by external actors. It has been widely reported that U.S. President Donald Trump is attempting to sway the election in favour of Nasry Asfura, whom he has publicly endorsed. Trump has reportedly warned that U.S. financial aid to Honduras could be suspended if his preferred candidate does not win. In a move seen as bolstering the National Party, he has also promised to pardon former President Juan Orlando Hernández—a party member currently serving a 45-year prison sentence in the United States for drug trafficking.
Honduras: With vote counting underway, major Honduran news networks (Televicentro, HCH, etc.) have been selectively airing non-official vote tallies depicting wins for US-favored candidates, Salvador Nasralla and Nasry Asfura.
Their strategy is to broadcast opposition ‘victories’ in order to manipulate public opinion within Honduras and internationally—a common tactic to lower morale and demobilize.
Nasralla is adopting Maria Corina Machado’s talking points in his messaging.
X accounts, notorious for planting false information and far-right talking points from the exterior, have since this afternoon been disseminating statistically improbable ‘exit poll results’ which depict a fictitious scenario of two right-wing candidates leading the count.
We’re still awaiting preliminary results from the CNE.
Honduras Election Update:
Nothing official yet, but some people are reporting that Rixi Moncada (Left-Wing Democrat Socialist, Zelaya Alligned Candidate) won against the liberals and narconservatives.

The environmental damage the US will cause should they bomb or invade Venezuela isn’t talked about enough. I used to doubt we’d get 4.5+ degrees by the end of the century but the US and their brainless Latin American lackeys seem determined to make it happen.

Pete Hegseth has Ordered a Military Strike on a Surviors of a Previously Bombed Vessal , apperently with the verbal order “kill them All” … Meaning ordering Military Strikes on Helpless survivors. (washington Post) This is a clear Violation of the Hague convention :“it is especially forbidden […] to declare that no quarter will be given” Article 23 (D).
but even that would first need a “War” to be present , so he simply Ordered the Murder of Survivors (kill them all) . Making the hole commandchain liable for “well not even war crimes / but Murder” and explaining this Democrat video . Crime is Punishable by Death in US Law .
JAG (i know that from this Series) , > UNANIMOUSLY considers both the giving and the execution of these orders constitute war crimes, murder, or both.
(proably connected with the Mark Kelly thing)
They (the US media) will just call every strike drug-related. They know it is weak, but what is the job of a journalist if not reprinting US press releases. My guess is that they are begging the government to come up with something better. NYT;
