    Since it’s the fediverse and each instance makes its own rules, one option would be to have instances that do some kind of real-human verification when accounts are set up.

      how would we deal with bot posts being federated in though? i don’t think blocking entire instances is a good solution unless they get particularly crowded with them. a lot of them being used for vote manupulation and propaganda on reddit are legit accounts bought or hacked too.

        Im no expert so maybe this is not true but I believe we could make an instance that requires real human verification to join.
