    Usually I’d counter by saying wars of attrition favor the defender but it seems like no level of shit shoveling will get the Russian populace to cause any sort of domestic upheaval. I hope you’re wrong but the future for Ukraine feels bleak. Russia too, but still.

      I think it’s also difficult to get a real unbiased view on things.

      Losses for example: It’s easy to find Western/Ukranian numbers for Russian losses but the other way around is difficult just like concrete Ukrainian and Russian losses from independent sources.

      I condemn the Russian war of aggression to the fullest but it would be dumb to think of Ukraine as some perfect and fully honest country.

      Which means there’s probably more going on in their armed forces and government than we will ever know.
