      … it is code???

in the mouths of those using pdf where contextually makes more sense that they’re saying pedophile, e.g. on media sites that censor or demonetise or shadowban for using the word pedophile, yes. this neologistical phonetical synonym is secret code enough to get past censors apparently.

I’m going to watch out for this but I’ve never heard it before, and .pdf is literally the only format that will look the same to everyone reading it so I’m gonna keep liking it. Nothing yucky about it.

Imposing how it should look, is yucky to those who want to be free to meet their need for accessibility adjustments, like for larger text, dyslexic fonts, anti-glare, etc.

I am sympathetic to this, however mostly I just want to send a resume for someone else to print, without the other person’s computer rendering it like garbage.

People can get all kinds of PDF software, and I’m pretty sure you can zoom, extract text, change font, etc. Idk how software can do anti -glare?

Honestly I’m not sure what format I would use outside of .PDF for documents where I want formatting and layout preserved.

            .docx - compatibility issues
            .doc - old fashioned
.rtf - not enough options, and old fashioned
.txt - good unless I need formatting
.md - no guarantee their computer opens it correctly, and hard to edit, and I can’t choose fonts
