Rasbperry Pi is a popular choice as a SoC / SBC Linux board. But you have to use their custom linux kernel. Are there Linux boards with decent mainline Linux kernel support?

I wouldn’t expect great mainline support for any ARM devices, but I think there are a few amd64 boards that should run mainstream Linux just fine. ARM is just kind of ass when it comes to Linux support, despite the hard work of many Linux volunteers.
