That particular person in here knows, because even if they didn’t before (doubtful) they were told, and then said they didn’t care because they’re “separating the art from the artist”.
Problem is not all of them were, and they mostly picked the less obvious ones.
Anyway, separating art from artist is always a tough call, but personally I don’t believe in it for people that are still currently alive and doing shit with the attention (and/or money) they get.
I can get into the Cthulhu mythos (especially as a foundation for other stuff), but I won’t touch anything from J.K. Rowling.
