In what appears to be yet another privacy blow to Twitter, a hacker is now selling data allegedly from 400+ million Twitter users. I thought Twitter only had 400 million users, so this would have been all of them, but apparently Twitter only publishes “average monetizable daily active usage (mDAU)” (they got sued in the past for misleading investors with how many inactive users they had). That mDAU number was 229 million for Q1 2022.
So, yeah, no idea what percentage of Twitter users are affected, but could easily be in the double digits.
