Agreement with Budapest raises fears of Beijing’s growing influence in Europe.
How is that even legal under EU law?
Nothing against the Hungarian people, but it is time to reform some of the rules regarding these types of leaders. If you want to play cool with the dictators of this world, then go ahead, but strip them from both EU and NATO membership. Because you can’t eat from two hands.
That might be exactly what the Kremlin and CCP want.
You’re not a honorary citizen of both Russia and China.
This is completely fucked up. Fuck all this. Does national sovereignty mean nothing you fucks?
But wait, there’s more… They’ve been making it illegal for NGOs to receive donations from foreign countries “because it violates national sovereignty”. Same for opposition parties and media. Every year it’s getting harder and harder to overturn this nightmare and the incompetence of the opposition isn’t helping, either.
What in the fucking fuck?
What the hell?
Waiting for the pro Chinese/anti NATO narrative from our tankie friends on how this is absolutely super good for everyone!
They’re not my friends, I hate Hexbear and lemmy.ml
Authoritarians of a feather
Cool and normal 👍 👍
If Hungary wasn’t so far west geographically I’d propose an exchange: We let Russia have Hungary in return for Ukrainian EU/NATO membership. Unfortunately Hungary is on the wrong side of Ukraine :(
Woahh after Kiribati? Which country will be next?

That’s some weird shit.
Why did you repost yesterday’s top post from this community?
