Which means danger. It just means you can’t block/party whatever attack is about to happen. You have to figure out what to do based on what the enemy’s attack is. Low sweep means you jump, forward thrust means you do the kick Parry thing. Anything else and you dodge out of the way.
I literally got through the whole game assuming I had to read the little thing, and just vaguely guessing which one looked more appropriate. More fool me.
