I’ll say that some chairs are more comfortable than others, but a standing desk is finally what felt the most comfortable for me.

I got a standing desk at work and when I was nervous I just started pacing around the whole office and creeping out my employees. Had to get back to sitting

I liked using my standing desk in my home office. so much that I eventually got one for the office.

I got a lot of compliments and interested short conversations, but notably only one other person transitioned to a standing desk.

I’ve always wanted a treadmill but hard to say I would use it enough to be worth it.

You are thinking of a fitness treadmill which is commonly used as a clothes rack. I’m thinking of a treadmill for use at a desk which lacks those side rails to hang clothes on (and also goes a lot slower) . Some people walk on them all day while typing, and it sounds great, but I don’t know if I really could use one all day while working.

The trick is to get your employer to buy you one under the guise of ergonomics or health and safety so that you can try it out without spending your own money.

This really is the answer. You’re sitting too much and a need to stand more to build up your muscles and ease blood flow to your legs.
