Give us a decent voting system and maybe people would vote. I do vote but I know my vote counts for basically nothing as I live in one of the safest seats in the country - I’ll get a labour mp and three labour councillors every time!
My constituency switched from tory to lib dem in the last election, first time in like 100 years. Of course it’s had zero effect on anything, since the lib dems don’t actually do anything except occasionally prop up the tories.

Edit: clarity, mainstream news had miniscule coverage of voter turn out. Honestly, I think they have to become citizens first. Giving the vote to non-citizens would be a disaster in the current political environment and personally I don’t think it’s a good idea anyway.
Now, is it worth reviewing the requirements for citizenship? Sure, but enfranchisement of foreign citizens, no.
