    Of course, tying access to important services like healthcare to employment would be inhumane. You still need a doctor if you are sick, regardless of employment status.

    Edit: And contraceptives are a healthcare thing, and is thus covered. Condoms are a seperate service, but covered and made accessible by the state as well.

      This is what Germany does.

      I ask because US Americans think healthcare in the EU is amazing. Then you realize its illegal not to have healthcare in Germany, and you have to pay for it. Even if you dont have a job.

          And if you dont quality for unemployment?

          Some people choose to be unemployed. The German system doesn’t really allow for that

            It’s a balance. Either you go on unemployment support and health insurance is covered but you also get nagged by the unemployment agency. Or you spend your savings, get no support and no nags.

              Why not just let me be unemployed, live on my savings, and give me free healthcare? Healthcare is a human right. It should just be free like in Canada or the UK.
