I read somewhere (but have no verification of this fact to offer) that the person in the picture isn’t even the one doing this and it’s a weird stalker / revenge situation going on here.
I guess that’s possible, but it seems like a very strange way to do it.
I think more likely it’s a test of the resilience of the fediverse in preparation for a more valuable scam later, using whatever footage the person could get (not necessarily themselves, but not stalker or revenge, either).
According to a thread I read the other day, the Peertube stream the message links to is just a video of her on a loop. I don’t think the person in the photo is the one doing this, it’s either revenge porn or a scammer who just happened to use this pic and video.
I got it too twice(I think she’s having issues with fedi and remade her accounts or something) and was going to ask if anyone else did X3

that’s what I was thinking too, seeing that her head is sideways, not looking into the camera or even under it like to a screen
