When I was 20 years older I used to inhale vapor of devil’s lettuce often, and after some serious cases of munchies I was able to produce some horrendous crap, and even then, with infamous Dutch toilet bowls, three flushes was the worst one.
To give the benefit of the doubt, which I don’t think he deserves, he may be dealing with low-flow toilets which waste a lot less water. And when you eat McDonald’s every day, you probably get backed up pretty badly and maybe overload the toilet on a regular basis.

Over half a century we went from 7 gal/flush —> 5–> 3 —> 1.4 and sometime less, but you can’t just use the same design with less water. Modern designs still save water but flush much more effectively.
Similarly early low flow showerheads were poorly designed but you can spend $20 on a 1.2 gal/minute that works really well, assuming you have the water pressure. My house is at the high end of acceptable pressure so I have to use a reducer with that
