We’ve all known one… what did they do?

    he would ring up expensive but wrong tires and then charge the customer. He would then get it refunded in cash and then charge them for the correct amount, then he would pocket the difference

    Where were the cash refunds coming from? The customers, or the tire supplier?

      The cash refunds came from the front office of the store. Automotive had their own cash til and exit near the back of the store. He would charge the customer the higher amount at their cash til and claim it was a mistake. He would then take the receipt up front to do a return and insist on getting it refunded in cash instead of back on the customers card. After he got the cash he would go back to his til and put the purchase through again but for the right amount and use the cash from the refund then he would pocket the difference. I think he got away with about 12-15k before he was found out but it’s been a few probably 10 years or so since this happened so it might of happened a little differently then what I remember.
