Wait, you mean the thing that we told the Dems would happen, happened? Crazy, who could have seen that coming? It’s almost like we wanted them to be a party of decency, so we could tell people to vote for them without having to defend the killing of children.
Maybe next time, the Dems should put up a candidate people want to vote for, instead of shaming people for being against Genocide.
Welcome to reality, and adulthood, where, more often than not, you are working to mitigate shitty situations to get the least destructive outcome possible.
Americans failed to do so, because they chose to squabble over a party not being perfect while a felon rapist and his enabling party of fascists took complete control.
Maybe next time (if there is one) we can cry again about the party that’s provably better for average Americans while we descend further into fascism. That’ll make things better.
…chose to squabble over a party not being perfect…
Looking at the party for the last few years, I see: Choosing a rapist, child-killing, genocide supporter as the candidate. Gaslighting everyone on the cognitive abilities of said candidate. Continuously screwing over the working class. Gaslighting everyone on the state of the economy. Bailing out their rich friends, while telling the poor and homeless that they need to suck it up. Propping up the fascist that beat them as their opponent. Bombing innocent people. Saying that they would be harder on immigrants than the fascist. Helping build a stupid border wall. Increasing funding to violent assholes that attack the working class. Picking unpopular candidates and running on right-wing values.
I feel like that is a far cry from “not being perfect”
So glad that you held the country, and especially vulnerable populations like LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, immigrants, and disabled people, not to mention the Palestinian and Ukrainian people, hostage while demanding that Dems do things that have zero historical evidence of them agreeing to. I can’t speak for all of us but, I bet the others are also glad that you were able to keep your moral high-ground and didn’t feel at all betrayed and upset about it. /s
I always find it fascinating that people get mad at those that couldn’t stomach genocide, rather than getting mad at the people with the power, the money and the platform who chose genocide and money over fighting fascism. We kept telling the Democrats that their position was unpopular, they told us to sit down and shut up. Maybe the Democrats should play seriously next time.
I always find it fascinating that people get mad at those that couldn’t stomach genocide, rather than getting mad at the people with the power, the money and the platform who chose genocide and money over fighting fascism.
Do you get mad at a mountain lion for killing an elk? Or ivy for strangling a tree? It’s just what they do. Same with the corrupt elite and bourgeoisie. They’re corrupt and feed their own selfish desires because they are fundamentally broken, antisocial people. When one claims to be an ally but refuses to act like one in the most important and meaningful ways, it feels like betrayal and that hits differently than known malignancies acting malicious.
Maybe the Democrats should play seriously next time.
So glad you taught those Dems a lesson, I’m sure the elite in the DNC are going to be very harmed by this, and not the numerous marginalized groups on the ground.
And if they don’t learn their lesson, of course, you can just murder some more minorities next time! That will really show them!
Leftist here who voted for Kamala and is also a minority:
So glad you taught those Dems a lesson, I’m sure the elite in the DNC are going to be very harmed by this, and not the numerous marginalized groups on the ground.
You recognize that how you’re describing the situation is eerily close to the definition of collective punishment, right? “Don’t argue with the people in charge who have been screwing us over for the entirety of our lives and who are actively doing a genocide because at least they’re not gonna hurt us as bad”. That’s not an argument for keeping those people in power. Stop defending the people who are willfully causing the deaths of children halfway across the world because at least less people will die here. Stop trading Palestinian lives for American ones.
We have one enemy right now and it’s the billionaires who are actively and maliciously trying to keep us fighting against each other so that they can r*pe and decimate the working class. Shut the fuck up about who voted last election and for whom and actually gear up behind candidates that actually want to solve problems. The dem establishment does not give a shit about the working class. How many fucking articles have to come out basically spelling out for you that they are abandoning the working class? They’re courting corporate interest too. Get off the sinking ship and hold your fucking public servants accountable for their actions for once.
You recognize that how you’re describing the situation is eerily close to the definition of collective punishment, right?
“Collective punishment is when you recognize that actions have consequences for everyone in society”
Yikes.
Stop trading Palestinian lives for American ones.
Oh cool, how many Palestinian lives did preferring the fascist save?
Oh, no Palestinians were saved?
In fact, more Palestinians are going to die now?
Stop trading American and Palestinian lives for your own ego.
Shut the fuck up about who voted last election and for whom and actually gear up behind candidates that actually want to solve problems.
Don’t worry, any time there’s a candidate who might end up with a chance of preventing fascism, I’m sure you’ll find a reason to asspat everyone who sabotages that candidate.
I’m sure that if you just encourage this self-destructive behavior and praise the ‘bravery’ of those who engage in purity-test insanity at the cost of the lives of people like us more, it’ll make the next anti-fascist coalition that much more likely to succeed. Less support for an anti-fascist coalition is better, right?
The dem establishment does not give a shit about the working class.
Okay. Cool. Would you like to remind me what the pro-working class options were in 2024?
We were offered a punch in the face or a .50 cal through the head, and you’re sitting here defending people who opted for the .50 cal because a punch in the face is bad. No shit a punch in the face is bad. But anyone who can’t see the difference between the two, or a reason to support one over the other when it comes down to the wire, is the exact kind of purity-obsessed ghoul who would’ve opposed supporting the USSR and USA against Nazi Germany during WW2. “Good job on sending Poles to the death camps, you really showed those Just-As-Bad Allied tyrants that you’ll never work with Bad People™!”
Look, I’ma be real: I have no fucking clue what you are mad at us for. There are people who are actively trying to kill us. There are people who will sit around and watch us die without meaningfully trying to forstall it. The people who hold the power to help everyone have consistently failed to enact any meaningful change and have consistently failed to listen to the working class begging for relief. If this had happened in 1996, I could almost understand your viewpoint because at that point this would’ve been a surprise. But the simple fact of the matter is is that the working class has been begging for relief (and has watched DEMOCRATIC presidents bail out billionaires that drove us deeper into poverty)and every time we ask the DNC or the RNC for any kind of relief we have been systematically ignored and told to vote for the lesser of two evils with literally no choice to not vote for evil.
At what point do you realize that so long as the DNC and the RNC run the show, we will never find a good position? In fact, that’s exactly how we got Donald trump in the first place. The RNC didn’t like him any more than we did, but he got the nomination because working class Americans are sick and tired of corrupt representatives who don’t give a shit about us. But unlike the RNC, when the Democrats were being challenged by an anti-establishment candidate, instead of listening to the will of the people fairly and unbiasedly, the dems do their damnedest to torpedo the campaigns of progressive candidates any chance they can.
Scratch a liberal and a fascist bleeds. Get your own fucking house in order and fight the people who put us in this mess. They’re the enemy. Not me. Not you. Them.
At what point do you realize that so long as the DNC and the RNC run the show
Lol. What’s your alternative suggestion? No 3rd party has A SINGLE MEMBER IN CONGRESS. Because no 3rd party has done the work required to put a single member in Congress. Therefore, no 3rd party is viable.
Look, I’ma be real: I have no fucking clue what you are mad at us for.
You have no clue why I’m mad at the people who invited in the fascists.
Really.
There are people who are actively trying to kill us.
Yep, and a large number of people decided to just hand over all levers of power over to those people! At least it wasn’t the DEMS who got the levers of power! That would have been the REAL atrocity.
There are people who will sit around and watch us die without meaningfully trying to forstall it.
Yeah, that’s literally the fucking people who refused to vote for “Kamalacaust”.
The people who hold the power to help everyone have consistently failed to enact any meaningful change and have consistently failed to listen to the working class begging for relief. If this had happened in 1996, I could almost understand your viewpoint because at that point this would’ve been a surprise.
Fuck’s sake, in 1996 the Dem party was considerably more right-wing and anti-worker than it is now.
You say the working class is begging for relief, and you’re correct - but you don’t get that the working class is getting exactly what it’s begging for. The relief it begs for, time and time again, is fueled by corporate misinformation about the root causes of their suffering, and no amount of “DEMS BAD” changes that a supermajority of voting Americans regularly and often quite cheerfully vote, both in primaries (where more left options are absolutely available) and in general elections, for right-wing (whether right-wing in the sense of liberalism, or right-wing in the sense of fucking fascism) solutions to those problems.
You’re putting the blame for a fucked population on an amoral self-centered party apparatus. The amoral self-centered party apparatus would all be hanged in a just society, don’t get me wrong - but they’re not the core of the fucking problem. The core of the fucking problem is the widespread acceptance of dogshit right-wing ideology in the population - yes, including the working class - and pretending that if only we had a DIFFERENT party apparatus, or different people in charge of it, would change that fundamentally FUCKED issue is delusional.
When was it that we had a choice to “not vote for evil”?
Look down through history. There are rarely, if ever, good options, there are simply less bad options. And if you insist on taking the worse option, it will not result in you having better options next time around, but worse options. There’s no karmic pendulum swinging, waiting for evil to win to give good a victory in exchange.
Oh cool, glad to see what brilliant solutions you have lined up. If only we cast off these wretched old party apparati, we would get candidates like [checks notes] Donald Trump, who is more nakedly and viciously fascist than the GOP has been since the 19 fucking 30s.
But unlike the RNC, when the Democrats were being challenged by an anti-establishment candidate, instead of listening to the will of the people fairly and unbiasedly, the dems do their damnedest to torpedo the campaigns of progressive candidates any chance they can.
Jesus fucking Christ. “The GOP loves the will of the people” is not a new one, but it always astounds me how many “left-wing” commenters eagerly swallow that fascist shit in their fervor to make sure everyone knows they think the SHITLIBS are the WORST OPTION POSSIBLE.
Scratch a liberal and a fascist bleeds.
Cool, so now fascists have, what, over a supermajority in this country? After all, scratch a liberal and a fascist bleeds. How many socialists do you think there are in the US? Bernie fucking Sanders is considered a radical here. Not just by “The Establishment™”, by actual voters on the fucking ground.
Get your own fucking house in order and fight the people who put us in this mess.
“Hey, let’s fight the literal fucking fascists!”
“Fuck off, shitlib! I’d rather see the fascists win than fight with you!”
They’re the enemy. Not me. Not you. Them.
Apparently the liberals are the enemy, according to you. Which checks out, considering that you’re playing apologist for people who preferred literal fascism over the liberals winning in a country where liberals are the majority of what passes for fucking left-sentiment amongst voters.
You have no clue why I’m mad at the people who invited in the fascists.
Really.
Again: I voted for Kamala. I just recognize that the people who didn’t are not the enemy. Stop attacking other normal people instead of the ones who are actively trying to divide us over stupid shit (like this).
Yep, and a large number of people decided to just hand over all levers of power over to those people! At least it wasn’t the DEMS who got the levers of power! That would have been the REAL atrocity.
We don’t owe anybody our votes. Not you, not Kamala, not Trump. The reason Trump keeps winning is because he makes people think he’s for them. The democrats are actively ignoring the voices of their base and saying that they’re going to do nothing for us, but hey, at least they’re not trump! If you want any actual recognition on why people are not voting maybe it’s because our votes are not mattering when we cast them. We vote lesser evil and we still get evil. That is not something to vote for. That’s when you just pack your bags and leave the fucking country if you’re able to do so. And if you’re not able to do so (like me) you’re getting fucked over no matter what you do, and dumb shits will berate you for not suffering in silence.
Holy fucking shit, you really are dumber than a sack of bricks. The core of the problem is the billionaires. You know, the ones who have been systematically demonizing left-wing ideologies since FDR dropped dead? You know, the ones that have been systematically funding and promoting right-wing ideologies because they were trying to get to this point? Nothing will get fixed while billionaires have this level of control over our government. If you’re not voting for an anti-corruption or anti-billionaire candidate, if you’re not organizing in your communities, and if you’re content with actually voting for the lesser evil every few years instead of expecting better (or preferably DEMANDING better) of your elected officials, YOU are fucking delusional. Maybe do like the fucking lefties and go out and try to show people a better way and convince them to back anti-corruption, anti-corporate candidates at all levels of government instead of coming online to shit on the people who are actively trying to fix the problems in the government.
Stop putting words in my mouth. I never said the GOP loves the will of the people. I said they listened to it, which is far more than the dems have done recently.
Yeah, and what have you done to actually try and help matters? Get out of the basement you’re dwelling in, go talk to people, and give them the education to get us out of this system and inspire the future you’re so certain can never happen. What’s the old saying ‘Be the change you wish to see in the world’? Except, you won’t, because you don’t actually want that. You don’t want a better society for anyone. You come in here bitching about leftists claiming “think of the minorities” and when a minority comes and calls you out for using people like me as a pawn in your ideological LARPing you turn on the minority (who voted for your dogs hit candidate may I remind you) while doing absolutely nothing to get us out of this batshit reality. Liberals are so content to sit around while it’s other people’s children dying to bombs or starvation that they’ll sit around with a thumb up their ass ‘dunking’ on leftists who are asking for better. Some of y’all ain’t never known suffering and it shows.
“Hey, let’s fight the literal fucking fascists!”
“Fuck off, shitlib! I’d rather see the fascists win than fight with you!”
Excuse me, but how many times in this thread have I asked you to stop attacking your fellow human beings and focus on the real enemy here? Billionaires. The 1% causes the rise of fascism every time, because fascism is the end result of unchecked capitalism. Fight the ones who put us in this situation or keep arguing on the internet while the world burns. The choice is entirely yours.
It was not a threat, it was a warning. If you keep putting up bad candidates and bad policies, people aren’t going to want to vote for you. I voted against fascism. The Democrats told me to sit down and shut up so that they could assist in ushering in fascism. Get mad at them, not me.
“I’m warning you, I’m going to support fascism if you don’t change your platform (after which, of course, I will find some other policy to make this identical demand on)”
But I didn’t support fascism. I voted against it. And I told the Democrats that it was unpopular and they didn’t care.
And yes, genocide is one out of a hundred other policies that I don’t support the Democrats because of. Maybe bombing kids, or bankrupting people with hospital bills, or imprisoning people for life for minor crimes, or deporting immigrants, or supporting rapists isn’t a big deal to you, but it is for me.
Well, I don’t fight against fascism and genocide because I think I’m going to win. I fight against fascism and genocide because I think they are evil.
Speaking of not understanding math: If every 3rd party voter changed and voted for the Democrats, they still wouldn’t have won. They gave up the election when they could have easily won it. But feel free to keep leaving sarcastic remarks here against those that hate fascism and genocide, instead of trying to fix your low approval-rated party.
If every 3rd party voter changed and voted for the Democrats, they still wouldn’t have won.
Lol. It doesn’t matter. They made their decision not knowing if it would effect the outcome of the election. They jeopardized our democracy and increased the chances of fascism whether their vote ended up mattering or not.
Well, I don’t fight against fascism and genocide because I think I’m going to win. I fight against fascism and genocide because I think they are evil.
Apparently you don’t fight against it at all. You just help it along.
Speaking of not understanding math: If every 3rd party voter changed and voted for the Democrats, they still wouldn’t have won.
Cool, now what about the other third of the country which was convinced by the “BOTH SIDES BAD, NO DIFFERENCE IN THE DUOPOLY” fascist-serving piss you lot peddled and stayed home, allowing fascism to win?
.
Next you’re going to say, “I WAS ONLY ONE VOTER! I WAS ONLY ONE SMALL PART OF THE PROBLEM!”
Well, I didn’t help it along, and I didn’t stay home, I voted against them. So I did fight against it. And the Democrats low approval because of their bad president, bad governance, bad campaigns, and bad candidates were probably the reason that a part of that third stayed home. I’ve also never said there is no difference between both sides.
You keep saying untrue things, and they still aren’t true. Maybe you should start saying true things.
Of course I’m russian. It couldn’t possible be that I am against the murder of the innocent, or against rapists, or against open corruption, or against torture and imprisonment. I can only point out the obvious failings of the party with terrible approval ratings because I’m a foreign agent.
You brain-dead college kid protesters don’t know what “gEnOciDe” is.
If you ever actually went to Gaza, you’d almost immediately be murdered, enslaved, or imprisoned by the Hamas terrorists you’ve been brainwashed in to believing are the “good guys”.
Biden was clearly the better choice for Gaza no matter how much copium you huff or how much you wish it wasn’t true.
Anyhow, enjoy watching the Trump Casino/Resort Gaza being built atop the bones of dead Palestinian kids, chump, because it’s what you supported. “Trump Gaza, number one!”
Well, I’m not sure if theres gonna be a next time or not. I assume Trump is gonna fight his damndest to make sure there isn’t another vote. If there is another vote, I assume it’s gonna be Trump, and a highly unpopular Democrat because they still can’t be bothered to give a shit about fighting fascism.
because they still can’t be bothered to give a shit about fighting fascism.
Lol. They ran a campaign repeatedly explaining the dangers of another Trump presidency to the American people. But Americans were too concerned about a conflict on the other side of the planet to care about fascism at home.
The other comments are right. Your brain is broken.
Wait, you mean the thing that we told the Dems would happen, happened? Crazy, who could have seen that coming? It’s almost like we wanted them to be a party of decency, so we could tell people to vote for them without having to defend the killing of children.

Fascism at home!!!
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. Maybe you fucking learned something.

No. It matters.

That is not something to vote for. That’s when you just pack your bags and leave the fucking country if you’re able to do so. And if you’re not able to do so (like me) you’re getting fucked over no matter what you do, and dumb shits will berate you for not suffering in silence.
Stop putting words in my mouth. I never said the GOP loves the will of the people. I said they listened to it, which is far more than the dems have done recently.
Yes, you successfully ushered in fascism, just like you threatened to do. Give yourself a pat on the back.
It was not a threat, it was a warning. If you keep putting up bad candidates and bad policies, people aren’t going to want to vote for you. I voted against fascism. The Democrats told me to sit down and shut up so that they could assist in ushering in fascism. Get mad at them, not me.
Are you on meth?
“I’m warning you, I’m going to support fascism if you don’t change your platform (after which, of course, I will find some other policy to make this identical demand on)”
But I didn’t support fascism. I voted against it. And I told the Democrats that it was unpopular and they didn’t care.
And yes, genocide is one out of a hundred other policies that I don’t support the Democrats because of. Maybe bombing kids, or bankrupting people with hospital bills, or imprisoning people for life for minor crimes, or deporting immigrants, or supporting rapists isn’t a big deal to you, but it is for me.
Is that “I don’t understand math” or “I’m refusing to engage in introspection of any sort because I only want the world around me to be at fault”?
Well, I don’t fight against fascism and genocide because I think I’m going to win. I fight against fascism and genocide because I think they are evil.
Speaking of not understanding math: If every 3rd party voter changed and voted for the Democrats, they still wouldn’t have won. They gave up the election when they could have easily won it. But feel free to keep leaving sarcastic remarks here against those that hate fascism and genocide, instead of trying to fix your low approval-rated party.
Lol. It doesn’t matter. They made their decision not knowing if it would effect the outcome of the election. They jeopardized our democracy and increased the chances of fascism whether their vote ended up mattering or not.
Apparently you don’t fight against it at all. You just help it along.
There’s no point, the Russians just needed to give them an excuse to throw temper tantrums, they didn’t even have to push that hard.
Of course I’m russian. It couldn’t possible be that I am against the murder of the innocent, or against rapists, or against open corruption, or against torture and imprisonment. I can only point out the obvious failings of the party with terrible approval ratings because I’m a foreign agent.
Which is why we have much, MUCH more of all of that now.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED .
Well, maybe the Democratic leadership should have fought against all of that, instead of helping it along.
Your brain is broken.
Bibi LITERALLY endorsed trump.
“Trump Gaza, number one!”
yeah sure there’s gonna be a next time… keep hoping, buddy
Well, I’m not sure if theres gonna be a next time or not. I assume Trump is gonna fight his damndest to make sure there isn’t another vote. If there is another vote, I assume it’s gonna be Trump, and a highly unpopular Democrat because they still can’t be bothered to give a shit about fighting fascism.
Lol. They ran a campaign repeatedly explaining the dangers of another Trump presidency to the American people. But Americans were too concerned about a conflict on the other side of the planet to care about fascism at home.
The other comments are right. Your brain is broken.
