    We don’t hear about them anymore, therefore the aliens have given up on researching or invading or infiltrating the hooooman planet.

      Kind of similar to how Jewish theology explains how in the mythical past god was appearing as a burning bush and talking a lot, but now (like for the last 2500 years) god is mute.
