There’s one semi-famous example in New Jersey where they could not find any next of kin for a single grave and ended up building around it. There’s also one graveyard that’s been cut right in half by a highway.
American’s value capitalism more then the Japanese respect their dead, so it’s not hard to convince Americans to truck their ancestors around.
