I’m looking for point and click games that can run on old laptops. I’ve finished every Monkey Island game, Beneath a steel sky, and I’m looking for other games like these.

Can you recommend any ?

There are a lot of point&click games in Steam, some are free. Steam shows also the min sys specs to use them. https://store.steampowered.com/search/?term=free+point%26click&maxprice=free&tags=1698

In Itch.io you also will find a good collection, also to play direct in the browser https://itch.io/search?q=point%26click

Other with a nice collection of point&click in Html5, which you can play for free, just in your browser. https://gamaverse.com/point-and-click/html5/

I think that in a old low end PC search for Html5 games are the best solution, this avoid to fill your HD with games which maybe don’t work or not are what you want. In browser games, if they work, fine, if not, try other one No trash in your PC, only maybe a temp file in longer games…

Thanks ! I’ll digg into itch.io, it’s great to be able to download games there and play offline, without the need of a launcher like Steam.

Steam is fine, but very slooooow loading, more in a old low range PC. GOG is somewhat faster, apart you can download the game, which normally is launched with the GOG client, but you can search the executable and launch the game directly, without GOG. Another fine site for free games is DigiPen, it’s a tech academy which exposed hundred of games of any kind, work of the students, which you can download, but there are also games which won’t work in a very old PC, ther you must test it. It’s listed by years, look in the older ones. Look also in the list of OpenSource games, , well, if Mineseeker works in your Lap, most of these also will do it.

Mmm depends on why you liked mi so much (there are many reasons). But indiana jones and the fate of atlantis, kings quest VI, sam and max hitthe road, the day of the tentacle, full throttle, larry VI, are all pretty safe bets

    Lucid Dream, free on Steam

Also I recommend checking itch.io - thousands of very cheap or free small indie games

Thanks for the tip. I’ll have a look at Lucid Dream. Unfortunately I can’t run the Steam launcher on the computer.
      Itch.io looks amazing.
