Just wondering what 2020ish or later cyberpunk books/authors you’ve read and would recommend. Every list I find is either the same handful of admittedly quintessential 1970/80s stuff (Gibson, Stephenson, Dick, etc), mega compilations that aren’t deliniated by year/quality (and haven’t been updated in years), or wildly irrelevant bot slop.

Human authors only… nothing AI/LLM-generated, please.

The Cyberpunk 2077 comics from Dark Horse were quite good, and we’re also 3 issues in to a new comic series called “The Future is ******”.

That series is created by a cyber-security company of all things. They have a plan to run 60 issues… 57 to go!

I would be interested in such recommendations.

I’ve read a lot books from before the 2010s (including some relatively niche stuff), but I don’t think I’ve read a cyberpunk novel written after 2010.

Jason Pargin’s “Zoey Ashe” books are decent. Especially if you’re focused on social media and AI impacting day-to-day life. You may already be familiar with his writing for Cracked (back when it was good) as David Wong

3 books come to my mind but 2 are in Polish (AFAIK only), so probably not of use for you

I liked Shadowrun: Dark Synergy From Russell Zimmerman. It’s Shadowrun but the plot doesn’t rely on magic parts of the setting, so I think it fits in general cyberpunk genre. Interesting POV and there is more to it than the description but I don’t know how to hint it without revealing too much
