Everytime she tried to campaign, she hurt her own chances. Because people just didn’t like anything about her besides:

Those were literally the only two reason myself and everyone I know voted for her.
But she just insisted that everyone loved her and were super excited, when clearly that wasn’t the case. When an election comes down to “who lies best” it’s hard to beat a Republican.
That’s why Dem candidates need to honestly want to fix shit, we need that sincerity
She could have been okay if she stood for anything other than the status quo.
She had to stand for something - I think that she was so unmemorable as a VP that people would have either looked to her past as a prosecutor, or to Biden’s massively unpopular policies on Palestine when trying to define her as a candidate.

I think she also had to have policies that departed from theirs. Alas, she didn’t and the U.S. decided it wanted something different. (Or the election was swayed by Musk’s illegal vote buying lottery scheme, which he’ll never be punished for, or perhaps those unaudited last minute code updates to voting machines swayed the election, but we’ll never know, because justice is a myth and democracy has always been just performative enough to prevent another rebellion in the U.S.)
Then shitlibs blame the 37 leftists that decided not to vote for her, and say they voted for the “smart black lady”. I guess they’re right about the 2nd sentence, but I’d definitely prefer an effective black lady that wasn’t going to keep bombing kids.

Watching the Democrats flub the 2024 elections in almlst the exact same ways as they did in 2016 was… Kind of bizarre.
Why?
The people in 2016 were the same people in 2020, and the same ones in 2024.
Like, literally the same people getting shuffled between presidential campaign and DNC, at a time when they effectively operated as a single entity, even during presidential primaries.
There was no reason to expect them to do anything different (or anything rational) until they were kicked out of power in early 2025.
Those same people will still rally behind a shitty neoliberals candidate in 2028 again, but for the first time in decades the DNC won’t pick a candidate, voters will in the primary and the DNC will support whoever wins.
That’s why there’s already a huge push to get people to disengage from the Dem party. The wealthy are already scared
