I can’t believe no one has commented this yet.

She’s not going to say there’s no list. She’s going to say she has the list and it’s conveniently going to contain all of trump’s enemies … probably including Obama.

Breaking news: Maxwell has been shot while trying to escape, in the back of the head. After a brief investigation her death has been ruled suicide by cop. Jk, unless…

Pardoning Maxwell would be an insanely bad idea. The MAGA world love two things more than anything else; conspiracy theories, and imagining themselves in an endless war against a cabal of powerful pedophiles.

Maxwell directly aided and abetted one of those powerful pedophiles. To MAGA, there is no possible justification for pardoning her. It would be tantamount to a full admission from Trump, and it would send their conspiracy addled minds into overdrive. At best (for him), they’d wonder what kind of leverage she has over Trump in order to buy herself a pardon. If not evidence of pedophilia, then surely something else, right?

Is Maxwell angling for a pardon? Almost certainly. But giving her one would be a suicidal move for the administration right now.

My MiL is deep MAGA. The only thing true is that whatever the outcome, she will regurgitate the Trump talking points. They could tell her Maxwell was a secret agent for Trump in the 90s, and she would buy it.

I don’t know if you’re close to anyone MAGA, but it is truly a blind cult. The Right just needs to find a palpable enough angle to spin.

I think more dangerous for this regime is other people know what’s on the list. She’s not the only one.

Suicidal how? It’s not like the modern republican party, at least those in congress, is likely to impeach their own president, and seeing as he’s term limited, if Trump got another term, he would have had to throw out the constitution completely and unambiguously to do it, at which point he could simply throw out the “election” part too.

She’d be stupid to take any deal, she’ll be dead before the term is over, regardless of a possible pardon. He can’t risk her talking under a potential different government.

He still has the problem of obviously pardoning a woman convicted of heinous crimes involving trafficking of young girls to facilitate Epstein.

Yep, either they actually voted for him or the votes were juiced (“No-one knows these machines better than Elon.”). Him obviously being a scumbag makes no difference in either of those scenarios.

I’m responding the possibility of him doing so, as raised by others. If that’s not a problem for him then neither is him being in the files, negating the need to pardon Maxwell.

It wasn’t a problem when he pardoned hundreds of violent traitors and insurrectionists.

It wasn’t a problem when he himself was found guilty of SA and convicted of multiple felonies.

It wasn’t a problem when he admitted he would like to bang his daughter.

It wasn’t a problem when he said he could murder someone in broad daylight and not face any consequences.

Somehow I think this won’t be a problem either.

It doesn’t seem to matter even if there is.

The Republican Party doesn’t want to impeach him. Some of Democrat Party do, but their efforts get squashed by the Republicans and the other half of their own party.

He can’t be held personally accountable for abusing his power in this case either, thanks to SCrOTUS basically saying that official presidency acts are above the law.

Er … no. At this point, the presidency can do pretty much whatever it wants. You may be thinking that I am using hyperbole, but I am not. The Supreme Court determined that, as long as the president says, “I’m acting as the president!”, whatever action that follows is excempt from prosecution.

      LOL.

      You must be new here.

The whole shit show is based on the assumption that the people of the United States wouldn’t elect a dictator, or would at least take action if it turned out that an elected person was in fact a dictator.

Seems to be that neither of those things are true.

The neat thing about pardons is if you accept one you lose your 5th amendment rights around the subject, and be compelled to testify.

Apparently pardons don’t need to made public and they could offer a pardon that takes effect on a future date. She’s in a federal prison so they put her in some really nice conditions in club fed until that date.

So we won’t know she was pardoned until she walks out of the prison.

I understand the cynicism, but, I actually think that GM knows what happened to Epstein. From reading interviews and her online presence, you can tell quickly that she is a very timid and fearful person in the face of all of this, but she also seems to display the usual sense of self-preservation that most of us have too.

I think she knows that she is at risk of being ‘suicided’ by speaking to the US government. I don’t think Trump would get her to agree to say nothing happened and let her free, because if she is free and fucks off to Belize, she could still ruin his fucking life from 3,000 miles away.

Personally, I think that the situation we are looking at is that she knows that if she doesn’t pipe up and drop more dirt, she WILL be silenced before that can happen. I don’t think it’s beyond the realm of possibilities that GM has a dead-man’s switch operating somewhere; for Christ’s sake, she was the chief of staff of the world’s largest and most elaborate sex trafficking and extortion ring.

Why would it be beyond the pale for her to have shipped a box of Epstein’s hard drives from his Florida properties? They could easily have been shipped to some douche in another country who benefits from a trust for as long as they sit on that information, with instructions to release the documents online if GM is reported as dead.

Well yeah, how else can they claim the list isn’t real?

They are going to claim that the evidence never existed, something something Biden treason, and then point to the pardon from now on when people bring up the files.
