The article doesn’t explain what the “AI” aspect is, I assume they’re referring to non-generative AI algorithms? The drones doing some physics calculations etc.
Probably they used a video classifier connected to the trigger. You aim the rifle and the system releases the bullet once a human head is in the crosshair center, similar to some aimbots in videogames.
