Bolton became his opposition after Trump’s first term. They aren’t going straight to executions, but they are starting to take action on the dissenters.

In the short term sure, but they keep going and replacing anyone competent with yes men.
Depending on what example you’re looking at, that “short-term” can be anywhere from years to decades.
And those years can be filled with wars.
That’s why we have to fight it.
One must be careful to not go after those who may have connections to remedy the problem.
