    Maxwell shared with Epstein an email from her lawyer in 2015 discussing the possibility she might be prosecuted in Britain, which the socialite claimed would destroy the “slim shred of life” she had left.

    Giuffre had alleged that Epstein and Maxwell trafficked her for abuse by Prince Andrew in London in 2001, while she was a minor. Prince Andrew denies all allegations of wrongdoing and settled with Giuffre out of court in 2022.

    The correspondence between Epstein and Maxwell, his long-time confidante, was published on Thursday by Bloomberg, which obtained 18,000 emails from Epstein’s account spanning nearly two decades.
