We used to have this satirical news site here in Brazil that when reality was absurd enough just published the news.

Then Bolsonaro won, and since their site was entirely real news, people stopped reading them…

Its not as easy as it once was. Six months ago I might have made a satire on how we would have unmarked soldier police abandoning children in vans on the side of the road and carrying out extrajudicial executions if things did not change.

That’s not the modern world … that’s corporate news media.

Dig a little deeper and you’ll find actual journalists that are honestly talking about this.

Don’t dig too deep or you’ll end up in a rabbit hole full of demons and ghouls.

Joseph Gedeon at the Guardian reports that Matthew Dowd was fired from MSNBC for stating:

“Hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions, … You can’t stop with these sort of awful thoughts you have and then saying these awful words and then not expect awful actions to take place.”

Richard Luscombe at the Guardian reports:

Among those to have been fired, suspended or censured in recent days for their opinions include teachers, firefighters, journalists, politicians, a Secret Service employee, a junior strategist at Nasdaq and a worker for a prominent NFL team.
