As take mentioned, you can change the theme by hitting escape and clicking the theme button, this is the dawn of wonder theme so pick any one but that. You got got by the automatic theme changer based on country feature they added. If you set it manually it’ll stay that though.

maybe that’s why Victoria 3 is so relaxing to me. but i like purple
the game straight up feels like the most sleepy, ASMR late night chill game. no pounding heart when a war starts, just tippity tap building stuff and letting social forces do their thing (i say this in praise)
It is a very chill GSG at least compared to my other faves CK3 and Stellaris. (Even though I still suck at Vicky3)
as far as chill goes I would rank both those after vicky 3, still chill, mostly building with some war. i tend to play Stellaris as a power fantasy though I just want to be The Culture over and over and over
hoi4 has no chill, except during the build up. same with eu4 for some reason (and never really ropes me in unless i build a bonkers custom nation)
for some reason the theme was really triggering me in a not good way, I’ve never really experienced that before, but I straight up was like ahhhh I’m turning this off. But knowing that I can change it back fixed it lmao
