I dont love Distant Worlds 2 but the game is still getting updates and support. Just saying.
Just your average office drone trying to make it under late-stage capitalism.

I plan to play 4.0 for a while, but right now I’m still waiting for patches (there are two more planned just this week). I was gonna wait two weeks, but I don’t think I can hold out that long, so I will probably play Stellaris this upcoming weekend.
If I recall correctly, here are some vague tips for Civ 6 (I’m not great at the game, but I have won a few matches):
Conquest and warfare are legit tools but you need to know what you are doing. (Which you dont so you will probably fuck it up) Try to get a second city out very early, around turn 20 to 30, not later. You probably should get a 3rd and even more cities over time ( I usually go for 5-6 in my games throughout the game) Try to settle next to new ressources you dont control at the start of the game. Oh and settle next to rivers or next to the ocean.
It might take a few games to get the hang of it, but barbarians aren’t that hard to deal with. Try to stop barbarian scouts from reporting your position to their camps that helps a lot. Honestly, I’d just recommend fucking around and getting a feel for the game.
Rome with Trajan is a decent beginner CIV.
Even if you dont wage offensive wars you want a small military or the AI will declare war on you . Different civs have different weighted AIs I think so - some leaders will be more likley to be aggressive etc.
I would recommend making a beginner thread in the Hexbear gaming comm. Im sure there are CIV6 players that are much better than me that can give you advice.
I might have time to teach you the game if you are really interested send me a dm if thats the case
My favourite twink Geraldo Rivera . From the little known indie gem Witcher 3
Keep at it. I believe you can do it
Thats a funny lil shooty bam game
Its utterly pathetic by Nintendo to pull this
I would be open to CIV6 but im not really good at it. Like my limit is King difficutly. (I dont really like HoI sorry)
Sooo, Im interested in general.
But the game is currently in a buggy state (a massive rework happened on Monday), and Id prefer to wait for more hotfixes. There have already been 3 to 4 hotfixes this week, with another two patches planned for next week. I also heard that multiplayer stability isnt great at the moment. Just a general heads up if you plan to play Stellaris this weekend. Even waiting just one or two weeks could greatly improve stability and bugs.
With that said, assuming we only fuck around with the current Stellaris version for 1 to 3 hours and play a proper game at a later date, I’d be on board.
I would be open for other 4x/GSG and strategy games in general though. Nothing really planned on Sunday from my side
More like Bae´Zel.
Oh this is perfect. A sign from the high heavens perhaps ?
Im curious about it and I do plan to play it BUT I have no problem to wait for at least for 6 months to a year depending on the state the PC version releases in . This is a game where I legit wouldnt have a problem to wait 18 months or something if it turns out to be a rough day 1 release for PC.
There are games that I had to play day 1 like Baldurs Gate 3…GTA 6 isnt one of them.
Considering it will be console exclusive for a year (unless they changed that with the delay?) I am really not in a hurry to play it even after its out. (Im Pc only) . That said I do plan to play it at some point down the road.
Waiting for the Stellaris update 4.0 (which is huge) and the Biogenesis Expansion this Monday. Gonna have breakfast in a bit.
Here are some very short games
A Short Hike. Its a game about climbing to the top of a mountain. You meet cute lil characters and climb up. Thats it. Thats the game. About 2h
Donut County is a story-based physics puzzle game where you play as an ever-growing hole in the ground. Only a bit over 2h
The entire Frog Detective series is made up of 3 games that are each very short. Like less than 2h each.
These 2 other games are best to go in blind. They arent horror games
First Firewatch is a pretty cool mystery type game that is less than 6h.
Second If you want something slightly longer The Forgotten City is a narrative-driven time loop adventure in ancient Rome. Less than 10h (took me 7h but I didnt go for 100%) Really recommend this one
Stellaris gets a MASSIVE 4.0 update this Monday. So while im gonna play that next week it probably would make sense to play it next Sunday in multiplayer after I got some experiece with the new update. If you wanna play next weekend hit me up
This but unironically
Damn I havent played Dont Starve since wayyyyy back in like 2014 or 2015.
If you wanna play. Im game. based on the list of games im almost certain we could find something. DM me if you want
Here are my two cents: I freaking love Stellaris, but Id probably wait a couple of months until the current version gets more patches and hotfixes.
Victoria 3, while not my favorite, is fun, but it’s getting a sizeable update in June, so it’s a wait and see situation for now.
Out of the modern Paradox games, I think CK3 is the easiest to get into and the one in the best state right now.
If you like the idea of playing as a character, there’s little reason not to recommend CK3. Mind you its best played as a rpg and not as a map painter.
