Satanic Temple are good people. I’m proud to be associated with them. They are what Christians SHOULD BE if they followed ol JC’s advice…

And yet, he keeps doing his best to mimic the supposed coming of the Anti-Christ. Just more Trump/Republican projection I guess.

Trump is labeling half the US as “others” and getting nastier in messaging instead of referring to us as fellow Americans. They’re all normalizing this through repetition so that when they do come for us, no one bats an eye.

I will bat more than an eye and I’m sure many others will as well. Some are already doing so. I have yet to experience any of this firsthand but if the day comes when I have to choose between watching violence being done to my fellow citizens and stopping said violence I know what I will choose.

Immigrants are already dying and thousands are disappeared from existence since being taken away.

But it’s cool you only give a fuck if they’re citizens. Fuck those innocent foreigner lives.

Secondary reminder that the man literally demonizing his opponents has declared it to be criminal to criticise him or his cronies by accurately describing them with politically descriptive nouns or adjectives.

This doesn’t just go away with the next midterms people, there ain’t gonna be no next midterms, not meaningfully anyway, unless people actually do something to stop and depose this fucking madman.

Which is why I remind people at every opportunity that he really, sincerely, is unhinged.

This goes way beyond political rhetoric and hyperbole - he’s bludgeoningly obviously profoundly mentally ill.

Much is unsurprisingly made of the march to fascism under his administration, but the thing is that that’s really being accomplished by the people around him. He isn’t leading the country to fascism or to any other thing. He’s just sitting there in the Oval Office, surrounded by bright shinies, doing whatever his warped perceptions and stunted emotions compel him to do, And it’s just convenient for the fascists that the natural instincts of a fragile, delusional, sociopathic egomaniac, toxic narcissist and craven bully with the emotional development of a toddler lend themselves so well to fascism.

Republicans have been repeating this line since the Clinton Administration (at least).

Historically, the actual elected representatives would be going on network news and having “debates” that merely implied it, while hatchetfolks like Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity made the claim explicit. But now the Kool-aid vendors have become the Kool-aid drinkers. Trump’s as saturated in this propaganda as anyone else in the party. So he’s just saying the quiet part out loud, because its what the conservative Boomer/Millennial base has been indoctrinated into believing.

I mentioned at work, when the conversation turned to the shutdown and the blame was firmly placed on democrats, that both chambers of the legislature and the executive branch are controlled by the same party. And of course o got push back that it’s all because the democrats wouldn’t compromise. And it just feeds like I’m continually slamming my head into a wall when talking to these regular everyday people. The propaganda is so pervasive, it feels like, what even is the point? How do we break our coworkers/family/friends/etc out of the lock? That is the part that I don’t understand.

“Why would democrats compromise when the Republican regime is ending healthcare for millions just so a few billionaires can pay even less in taxes than they already do? Don’t you think rural communities should have access to hospitals?”

Ironically, the Dems are refusing compromise largely to protect Republican constituents. This is one of our best opportunities to remove the wool from their eyes. Try to find a way to break through if you can.

The release of the files would do nothing. His base would still support him. There could he undeniable evidence that he fucks children and they would justify it. Trump is above the law. He will never be ousted.

I would agree, but if anything was made obvious is that he absolutely does not want those files released. Whatever is in there has got him terrified.

No one needs to be “given a message” to hate trump. It’s the natural stance taken upon hearing even 1% of what he is about. We don’t “hate” easily, he’s just that easy to hate.
